The Hon. Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami) has charged the new Governing Board members of NIGCOMSAT Ltd headed by Arc. Yusuf Kazure as Chairman and the three new Executive Directors to rise to the challenge of achieving the goals of the company as well as meeting the Digital Economy target of the Ministry.

The Hon. Minster gave the task at the inauguration of the new government board which was held at the boardroom of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, Federal Secretariat, Abuja.
According to Dr. Pantami, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector is huge hence the challenges are overwhelming, which makes it imperative for the new governing board to make themselves well informed of the challenges which cannot be overemphasized.
‘You must learn, unlearn and relearn to enable you understand the challenges before the ministry and hit the ground running’, Dr. Pantami said.
Responding on behalf of the other board members, the new board chairman, Arc. Yusuf Kazaure expressed gratitude to the Hon. Minister and assured him of their readiness to serve the nation.
Arc. Kazaure stated that communication satellite services are necessary and important as a daily activity to Nigeria.
He called on other agencies of government to key into the NIGCOMSAT re-organisation that will work towards achieving the Ministry’s new vision.
The Board Chairman assured the Minister that they will take the advice of learn, unlearn and relearn towards achieving their set goals for the company.
The three new Executive Directors are Prof. Abdu Ja’afaru Bambale (Technical), Dr. Najeem Folasayo Salaam (Marketing and Business Development) and Mr. Hadi Mohammed (Finance and Administration).
The Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Abimbola Alale, Mallam Adamu Idris, General Manager Corporate Affairs Department and Mrs Alma Okpelefe and other members’ staff of NIGCOMSAT graced the occasion.
