Embraer delivers first praetor 600 to flexjet, fleet owner launching the praetor

Embraer delivered the first jet of a Praetor 600 fleet to Flexjet. The aircraft will be used to expand the company’s operations in Europe. Flexjet is the fleet launch customer for the Praetor models, having received the first Praetor 500 less than a year ago, in December 2019. The deal, valued at approximately USD 1.4 billion, was announced at NBAA-BACE 2019 and comprises a fleet of Praetor 600, Praetor 500 and Phenom 300.

Embraer and Flexjet form a long successful partnership. In 2003, Flight Options – which merged with Flexjet in 2015 – became the first shared ownership program to introduce the Legacy business jet to its fleet. In 2010, they introduced the Phenom 300 and, in 2012, the company received the 100th unit produced of the Phenom 300. In 2015, Flexjet became the first jointly owned company to offer the Legacy 500, later receiving the 1,000th jet. executive delivered by Embraer, a Legacy 500, in 2016. The Legacy 450 then joined the fleet of Flexjet jets in 2016.



With Embraer’s commitment to continuously improve each of the four executive jets in the portfolio, category leaders, recent updates have been made to the Praetors, which include improvements in cabin safety – making the HEPA air filter standard, approval of the use of the MicroShield360 ™ cleaning coating and certification of the new electric toilet door – in addition to the Synthetic Vision Guidance System (SVGS) certification.
