Beyond Gravity named co-organizer of Future Space conference in Linköping

On September 16 and 17, 2024, Linköping will host Future Space, a new meeting place where various aspects of current and future space activities will be highlighted. In cooperation with Maxar and Saab, Beyond Gravity organizes the conference and provides a platform for the commercial, institutional and defense space industry in Sweden.

As a key strategic partner for the Swedish space industry and with its excellent industry knowledge, Beyond Gravity is pleased to organize this year’s Future Space Conference in Linköping, Sweden. Together with two companies, Maxar and Saab, Beyond Gravity will host the national industry to discuss topics related to the commercial, institutional and military space industry. On September 16 and 17, we will offer industry representatives the opportunity to dive deep into the world of space through presentations and panel discussions with leading experts in space technology and research.

The event is an opportunity to dive deep into the world of space exploration and innovation. Speakers include Marcus Wandt, Sweden’s youngest astronaut and a passionate advocate of space exploration; Christer Fuglesang, Sweden’s first astronaut and a veteran of space exploration; Dr. Abhay Devasthale, senior scientist at SMHI specializing in atmospheric and climate research; Martijn van Delden, a key figure in Amazon’s Kuiper Project; and Lt. Col. Johan Nyström from the Swedish Armed Forces.

Combining Swedish industrial expertise

The conference will cover a wide range of topics, from the latest technological advances in space exploration to the importance of space research for climate science and global communication. In addition to an exciting conference program and exhibitions, the Future Space Conference will provide an opportunity to network and discuss with researchers, industry leaders and policy makers.

Magnus Engström, Senior Business Development Manager at Beyond Gravity in Sweden, says: “As an important strategic partner of the space industry, we are proud to co-organize the Future Space Conference. It is particularly important for us to prepare not only our company, but the entire Swedish space industry for the future and make it fit for the demands of tomorrow. With our modern production facility, which we opened in Linköping in August 2024, and our decades of experience, we have not only the right facilities, but also the right mindset for the future – and we want to share this with the industry.”

Magnus Engström will represent Beyond Gravity at the conference and participate in the panel discussion “Market Drivers for Space Commercialization” on September 17.

New production facility opened

At the end of August, Beyond Gravity opened its new production facility in Linköping, which will allow the company to significantly expand its production of dispenser systems. The company has been commissioned by Amazon to manufacture the dispenser systems for the Kuiper project. The new factory is therefore designed for series production.

The new facility in Linköping provides an additional 4,600 square meters of state-of-the-art production space. The new building doubles Beyond Gravity’s production capacity in Linköping. Instead of producing one dispenser per month, the company will now produce one dispenser every two weeks. The capacity expansion will cover the increased production volume of dispensers required for the growth of large satellite constellations such as Kuiper.
