APC and Meinberg to showcase latest broadcast technologies at the Media Production & Technology Show

APC Technology Group and Meinberg will be exhibiting at MPTS 2022 on stand L104.

The Media Production and Technology Show returns in 2022, at London Olympia. Following the acquisition of BVE in 2019, MPTS is the UK’s largest broadcast show that brings the creative and technical industries together.

MPTS 2022 will connect experts across all aspects of content creation, including the latest technological advancements in audio, remote production, lighting, post, sports broadcasting, training, production, virtual production and much more.

APC and Meinberg will be exhibiting at the show with a range of IEEE 1588 precision time protocol solutions designed to enable broadcast professionals to transition from legacy SDI systems to fully virtualised, IP-based environments.

To support the transition from SDI to IP in the broadcast industry Meinberg joined the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) in 2017. Since then, they have continued to develop their range of compact and flexible synchronisation solutions for the broadcast industry alongside their LANTIME IMS range of modular NTP and PTP solutions.

LANTIME IMS – intelligent modular syncronisation

The modular approach of the IMS platform allows field-replacement and hot-swap capabilities for IO modules and power supplies. This concept ensures future-proofness and expandability by allowing users to add or replace modules when new technologies or interfaces are required.

This flexibility makes the LANTIME IMS range one of the most scalable and customisable synchronisation solutions on the market.

microSync Broadcast – compact and flexible synchronisation

Meinberg’s microSync for broadcast applications is a powerful dual-port PTP generator, supporting SMPTE ST 2059-2 profile and offering a high level of efficiency and flexibility. It is available in a compact, space-saving half-rack design and in a 19-inch rack-mount enclosure which additionally offers redundant power supplies and an OLED display as an option.

In addition to the latest products from Meinberg, APC will also be showcasing solutions from Artel Video Systems and Durabook.

Artel’s Quarra PTP switches are carrier-grade Ethernet switches with one of the industry’s most accurate IEEE 1588v2 timing. The Quarra IP PTP switches are Ideal for pro AV, audio, video and broadcast networks.

And Durabook’s range of rugged mobile computing solutions enables outdoor broadcasters and field engineers to access laptops and tablets that are designed to handle challenging environments without comprising on security or performance.
