Agua×Vida, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to clean water, visited the Director General of the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency, Umar Ibrahim Mohammed with the aim to explore potential partnership.
The organization is seeking to collaborate with the agency to improve water treatment and management in Nigeria, particularly in areas facing water scarcity and contamination.
Agua×Vida (Water for Life) presented its mission and projects, highlighting its expertise in water purification technology and community engagement initiatives.
They also discussed the potential benefits of partnering with NIHSA, such as sharing resources, expertise, and data to address water challenges more effectively.
The Director General expressed interest in the partnership and recognized the value of working together to improve water access and quality for Nigerian communities.
He further stated that NIHSA is open for business with AguaxVida. AguaxVida is a leading provider of water treatment solutions and we are excited to collaborate with them to improve water quality and access in Nigeria, both parties agreed to further discuss potential collaboration opportunities.
In turn, NIHSA Directors provided a brief overview of their respective departments and how the Agency is saddled with the responsibility of providing services required for the assessment Nigeria’s surface and groundwater resources as regards quantity, quality, distribution and availability, in time and space; for efficient and sustainable management of resources.
The meeting was productive and promising, laying the foundation for a meaningful partnership that could have a significant impact on water sustainability and public health in Nigeria. Agua×Vida looks forward to working closely with the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency to achieve their shared goals of ensuring access to clean and safe water for all.
